From Bump to Birth: Pelvic Floor 101
In this free, in-person session, participants will learn the basics about the pelvic floor and how pregnancy-related changes can lead to symptoms like bladder leaks (urinary incontinence), pelvic pressure, or prolapse. We’ll talk about what’s normal, what’s not, and when to seek further assessment, and we’ll go over evidence-based birth preparation strategies that support pelvic floor function during labour and delivery.
The session will be led Candace Mazur, a Physical Therapist and Pelvic Health Therapist with The Joint Physiotherapy, hosted in partnership with SASPCN.
